Armada Capital Partners is a privately held real estate investment firm based in Dallas, TX focused on acquiring opportunistic and value add properties across the country. The firm primarily looks to acquire single-tenant industrial and single-tenant retail properties in top growth markets. Our strategic approach to building relationships with tenants has yielded opportunities to acquire both cash flowing assets and ground up development projects. Jesus Araiza
Founder/Principal
Jesus has been a principal with several DFW based real estate sponsors for the past 15 years. He most recently founded and led a retail platform over the course of 10 years that acquired approximately 245 assets (representing just under $900M) across the country. Jesus has focused on high growth markets in the Sunbelt and has developed a strong network of brokers and advocates that have enabled him to source off-market deals. Most recently he was an advisor to Crexi, a $500M CRE technology startup that has disrupted the online property marketplaces (LoopNet and Auction.com).
As the product of an immigrant entrepreneur that exposed him to the retail and industrial sectors, Jesus uniquely combines his ‘street’ knowledge with an academic pedigree from Jesuit College Prep and Duke University. Jesus has been a strong supporter of several charitable organizations that focus on low-income childhood education.
Matt Ornstein
Vice President – Industrial
Matt Ornstein focuses on sourcing, structuring and underwriting investment opportunities for Armada and has been with the company since its inception. Matt most recently served as a Development Associate for Hoque Global, helping to underwrite and entitle over $900 million of ground up mixed-use real estate development in Downtown Dallas. Prior to Hoque Global, Matt was an Acquisition’s Analyst at HealthCap Partners, which focused on medical real estate investment opportunities that included both acquisitions, build-to-suits and sale-leasebacks.
Matt has held positions in real estate brokerage, investment, development, and operations. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX
Mike Knudsen
Senior Associate – Industrial
Mike received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business with a minor in Economics from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN where he also played on the men’s lacrosse team.
Nick Brunson
Nick joined Armada Capital in 2024 after spending the last decade as a broker and principal sourcing both industrial and multi-family opportunities across the country. He has participated in over $600M in transactions throughout his career. Nick earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Western Governor’s University and holds his brokers licenses in Texas and California. During his time off, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys.
Kolby Klapper
Vice President – Retail
Kolby has extensive experience in commercial lending and development. She earned her Master of Agriculture Business and Economics from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Accounting from Stetson University in DeLand, FL where she was an athlete on the co-ed cheerleading team.
Kylie Fox
During her time at UT, she was a Dean’s List student, actively participated in the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority as Vice President of External Affairs, and interned at Sarofim in Dallas, TX.
